Looking around our world today, it's hard to see how authentic leadership is relevant. We've moved to 'alternative facts' being tolerated and hubris is rife. Facts, evidence and even honesty, is being pushed as the 'dirty' propaganda of the intellectual left. Those seemingly successful in what we quite fairly should expect as leadership roles are not bastions of authenticity.
So, can authentic leadership be developed? What range of influences and activities contribute to the development of authentic leadership? What may contribute to participants being less authentic in their leadership? These were just some of the questions Jackie Crispin Brown set out to explore through a series of in-depth interviews with Australian leaders.
